National Rescue Dog Day

National Rescue Dog Day

May 20th is National Rescue Dog Day.

Accordingly to the ASPCA, approximately 6.5 million companion animals enter U.S. animal shelters nationwide every year. Of those, approximately 3.3 million are dogs and 3.2 million are cats.

Get involved in the lives of rescue dogs, and help CCAS put an end to the cruelty and abandonment of animals

How can you help?

  • Spay and neuter your pets. Overpopulation is the number one reason shelters exist.
  • Adopt, don’t shop. Give a loving animal a forever home.
  • Volunteer – CCAS has a number of volunteer opportunities. To learn more, join our Volunteer Group on Facebook.
  • Donations are the lifeblood of any animal shelter or rescue. Without you, we couldn’t make this happen for the animals and the community!  Give Today

Rescue: It’s not just a verb, it’s a promise.
