CCAS Has Saved Over 5,000 Lives...And Counting!

A dream has become an exciting reality!

After years of planning, fundraising, and building, the Cape Coral Animal Shelter and low-cost veterinary clinic opened its doors in March of 2020.

Since then, CCAS has saved the lives of thousands of unwanted, neglected, abandoned animals—finding them loving, forever homes. Our low-cost veterinary clinic, open to the public, supports the lifesaving efforts of the shelter and provides a much-needed service to the community.

This is just the beginning. Plans are in the works for Phase II, which will more than double the daily capacity of the shelter and expand the clinic to accommodate a growing need for low-cost veterinary care for our ever-expanding community.

Phase II Plans

With only 12 kennels and three cat rooms, our intake is very limited, and we just do not have the room to help all those in need—it breaks our hearts.

Our community has outgrown Phase I of our shelter.

Phase II will more than triple our shelter space, allowing us to save the lives of many more abandoned, abused, neglected, and at-risk animals.
