Raise the Woof – A Capital Campaign Event
Cape Coral Animal Shelter held it’s second Capital Campaign event entitled “Raise the Woof” on September 26, 2019 at Palmetto-Pine Country Club.
Special guest included Cape Coral’s Mayor, Joe Coviello.
The surprise guest of the evening was Lee County Sheriff Carmine Marceno, arriving on the Red Carpet with dogs Deputy Chance and Lieutenant Bosco. Deputy Chance was rescued from an unfortunate situation. Once rehabilitated, he became part of the Sheriff’s office and currently lives with his handler.
The Capital Campaign event proved to be quite successful with a crowd of over 140 animal lovers. Through generous donations and many pledges $55,225 was raised for the animals.
The Board of Directors plus the many dedicated and talented volunteers, city leaders, business leaders, local contractors and sub-contractors are making this dream a reality.
Please help us achieve our mission to build this safe haven for animals, by considering making a donation to the shelter.
